Panthers, Brian Boyle Agree To One-Year Deal

The Florida Panthers have agreed to a one-year contract with center Brian Boyle, the team announced.

Boyle, 34, finished last season with the Nashville Predators, joining the team from the New Jersey Devils a few weeks before the trade deadline. He had five goals and zero assists in 26 games with Nashville, four of the goals coming on the power play.

Center Nico Hischier and the New Jersey Devils have come together on a seven-year deal worth $50.75 million.

Hischier, 20, was the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL draft. He has two assists in six games this season, having missed Thursday's victory over the Rangers with an injury. The Swiss-born center has 37 goals and 64 assists in 157 career NHL games.
